Safety

Messages are moderated for self-harm, harassment, hate, sexual content, violence and illicit topics, and flagged for academic integrity and off-topic use. Teachers see every flag on a Violations page, filtered by student, type and date.

  • The most severe distress replaces the AI answer with crisis resources: Kids Help Phone, Crisis Text Line and the school counsellor
  • The next tier points the student warmly to a counsellor; below that, the AI answers inside hard limits
  • A severity 5 event sends a signed webhook alert to the division, and the alert never includes what the student wrote
  • Students never create public accounts, and teachers stay in the loop at every step
