The Historian, which holds the counts, run states, and downtime for every reporting asset. The OEE Engine computes each factor from those records.

Q: Does it roll up past a single asset?

Yes. The same calculation answers at site, area, line, and asset, so a line total reconciles to its assets.

Q: Can we compare one period against another?

Yes. Every factor recomputes for any date range you pick, at whichever level you are looking at.

Q: How are longer trends kept?

A daily record is written per asset and can be backfilled across a past range. Trends read those records.
